Kinja'd!!!

FB convo with my buddy who was in the car with me. I cannot believe how polarizing this issue is. All my biker friends say look at that asshole in the RR, he got what was coming. Other people say if that was my family I would have run them all down. Does anyone know if there were arrests made?

from the FP, it seems like in general most people are on the side of the guy in the RR. I agree with this side. Lots of good discussion there, along with the usual ignorance of the FP.

The stories I've read say that police "are investigating the incident." The Post says that 911 calls started coming in about the bikers several miles before they even encountered the Range Rover. Speeds in excess of 100 mph, running red lights, and even driving on sidewalks. The whole thing sounds absolutely nuts.

that was exactly what was going on too.

Sounds like the bikers are going to have a tough case against the RR driver if 911 calls were already coming in at that point in addition to their own video evidence.

I ride, and I can't blame the guy in the RR. Imagine you were just trying to get somewhere, and suddenly there's this mob of bikes that you can't get through. You try to ease your way through, but they can't seem to let anyone "beat" them. One then brake checks you, you don't see him soon enough because you're looking in your mirrors at how surrounded you are. All of a sudden, a bunch of them are getting off their bikes and walking angrily towards your car.

That would be terrifying.

I ride as well. This was like a death wish

The bikers got lucky though. If I was in that situation my Sig would be doing the talking as soon as he broke my glass, especially with my family in the car

This. I'm not one for killing but in that situation at least 2 of them would've been shot or shot at. I'm a cool headed person most of the time but that's like a life or death situation, you're in a vehicle on a highway with your family and these guys are out to get you.

I certainly would've called the police but told them if you don't get to me soon you're going to be sended body bags to get these morons.

agreed 100%. I am not a gun nut, just a licensed carrier who has had to use the threat of it exactly once against a would be robber. This would have been another time where likely the threat of it would be sufficient...or it would have sparked a gun battle. Who knows what those thugs had on em

Idk about a gun battle but if you pull without intent I think these guys would've just been riled up even more. Idk what I would've done (does insurance even cover this!?) but seriously would've stayed on the highway until a trooper came up or drove to the nearest police precinct and hope I don't get caught at a light.
